I can't believe I am sitting down writing a new post!  This is long overdue and much needed.  I am coming to the end of my semester at college (only 1 more to go, eek!) and I can finally breathe.  Taking 5 classes was exactly what I thought it was going to be, stressful and took away everything that I enjoy.  But that is almost over, given that finals are next week, and I can start blogging again and showing you the things that I love.  So let's get on with it shall we?!

I thought I would show you a few of my favorite things from the past couple of weeks.  Just random as usual.

I am loving this bag that I got from Cotton On.  It goes with everything and is the perfect size.  It was one of those random finds that I'm glad I picked up 

 The Hunger Games?!! I have been wanting to read these books and I am so happy that I finally started!  I am really into "Fantical"stories as I call them.  It's a cross between Fantasy and Magical...it's fanitcal! Harry Potter, Twilight, yes I am one of those people.

 I can't get enough bling.  I see it shimmering and I have to get it.  These are a couple of bracelets that I picked up last week from Forever 21.

 

Going along with the whole shimmer thing.  My roommate and I did a nail polish haul at ULTA a couple of weeks ago, and we pick up this fun color called "Tinsel Town" by China Glaze.  Perfect for the winter and holiday season!

A Couple

I stopped by Forever 21 this past weekend, and I ended up getting a couple of things that I wasn't looking for, but happy I did.  I can never find what I need when I go shopping, so to find some good staple pieces that I will wear for a long time makes me happy!

I love the cream shabby knit sweater, and the maxi cobalt blue dress is going to be perfect for an upcoming wedding!

Pretty in Pink

My birhtday is on Tuesday, which is my busiest day at school (natuarally) and I have a test everyday this week, including my birthday! How rude.  So I have decided not to plan anything for my actual birthday, and wait until the weekend to celebrate.  I will do a picture overload birthday post for you as 

soon as I do something and have some pictures.  

Random...I have been thinking about making a YouTube channel and doing hauls and stuff like that.  What do you think? 

Here is a little end of the week shopping post for you.

I have come to realize that I buy close to the same shade of pink almost every week...I have now a basket full of pink nail polishes, and these are just the ones I use the most.  

Its like buying 20 pairs of black shoes right?  You can never have enough :)

Having H&M close to me is already proving to be dangerous.  Since opening day was a circus, I decided to give it a few days and return this week.  I grabbed some things that I had my eye on last time and I am super excited to have my first item of clothing and the perfect bag for back to school from H&M...eek!

Horses!  What is it about the lining in bags that makes you love it that much more? 

 I had my eye on this beautiful kimono...kimono?? Correct me if I am wrong, but I am just guessing that's what it is called.

This and That

H&M is here!  My shopping prayers have been answered, H&M finally opened in Dallas yesterday, and I wasn't the only one excited about it.  The line to get in the store was about a 30-45 minute wait at first.  So I waited until the line got smaller and had my chance to shop.

There were so many people that it was hard to really shop and look for things.  So I picked up this scarf and called it a day.  Not to worry, I will be back after the storm calms.

33 And Counting

I love being a southern girl, but this summer heat is more than I can take!  It's 110 degrees, and that's just the actual temperature. It feels like 120!  It is our 33rd straight day of triple digit temperatures down here in Texas, and even the pool can't cool you off.  So basically the only thing to do is hide inside the house from the heat, with the ac cranked down. 
I did manage to get out a little yesterday, to do a little shopping.  Ironically enough, I bought a fall dress, which I tweeted yesterday, so I will post it here as well.  I think it will be great with flats and heels, I also love short dresses with long sleeves.  It is the only picture of an outfit that I have, because my everyday wardrobe these days consists of nothing cute, only shorts and tank tops.  When the weather cools off and I can wear cute clothes again, I will start doing OOTD's.  As for now, this is the best I can do.  Stay cool!

Recent Finds

You know when you find those great buys that you just feel so good about?  Well that's what I found in these shoes.  I had bought some similar to these a few months back, only to discover that one of the straps on the shoe was cut short, and wouldn't fit in the buckle...annoying. So I tried to find them again with no luck.  Then just yesterday, I stopped by the wonderful DSW (just wasting time) when I came across these beauties.  They look just like the ones I had to return, and both of the straps buckle, yay!  It was one of those things I wasn't looking for, but totally made my day.

I also found this clutch a few weeks ago and wanted to share with you.  I bought it at Sam Moon.  Now if you don't know what that is, here is a little description.  You know those stores where it is stufed with product from wall to wall, with too many people, and everything is really cheap, and most of it is knock-offs?...well that is what Sam Moon is.  I don't ever go there, but maybe once a year.  I was looking for a gift and what do you know...I found something for myself!  I came across this clutch that reminded me of a style that Alexander Wang would have.  And since it was under $20, I had to snatch it up!

Baby You're A Firework

I love the 4th of July, it is one of my favorite holidays.  It's full of hot dogs, baseball games and fireworks!  This year I forgot to take my camera everywhere with me, which was stupid as a blogger, but I did manage to get a couple of pictures with good ole' Instgram!  I got to spend all weekend with my family and friends and enjoying the hotness of summer here.  Last night we went to the lake and watched fireworks explode in the night sky!  I hope your weekend was as good as mine no matter where you were.

Summer Time

I don't know where you all live, but if you don't live in Texas during the summer, consider yourself very fortunate!  It has been in the 100's for a few weeks now, and the weather is looking the same for this next week as well.  It is horrid to be outside for more than 30 seconds, and I feel like I'm getting a sunburn just from walking to my car from class.  Basically the only place to be is by the pool, or rather in the pool at all times.

I always have the hardest time finding bathing suits that fit me, and they usually cost more money then I can justify spending on a bathing suit.  $60 for the top and $60 for the bottom...no way.  So I am looking for the cheapest suits I can find.  Bathing suits are a fashion statement, just like the latest shoes, handbags, etc.  I always want to buy a new one every summer, even though there is nothing wrong with my old ones.  So far, this summer I have bought 2, with mix-matching in mind.  I am trying to buy basic bottoms and printed tops and vice-versa.  Even though my mother would drop $200 to see me wear a one-piece, I just can't see myself laying by the pool in a small dress.  The point is to get some sun! Sorry mom.  Here are a few suits I have bought so far and they are all under $20.

New York!

I went to New York as part of a summer class with my University about a week and, and it was very exciting, and we met with a lot of people in the fashion industry, like Style Sight, PRPS Jeans, Google, Gap, Tommy Hilfiger and many more companies who gave us great advice as we enter the fashion industry.  All in all it was educational and fun!
