Random Wednesday :)

Here are some random pictures I took today after discovering a new photo app at the app store!  I did a loose wave hair style today.  And my top is from JcPenney.

100 Things: Part Two

6. My Hello Kitty Phone Case.
Yes I am obsessed with Hello Kitty.  I got hooked when I discovered Sanrio around the age 5.  I am not the kind to go overboard with the kitty, but I do love her in a subtle way.  Although my phone cover is not that at all :) It gets alot of attention, as you can imagine. (Tutorial to follow!)

7.  The Holidays.

For me there is never a happier time than around the holidays!  Getting to see my family, and all of the festive decorations, and every Christmas movie ever made, bring a happiness that only comes once a year.

8.  Being Independent.
Just as simple as that.  I have always been independent, and I really like that about myself.  I am not afraid to be alone, and I can take care of myself.  It gives me confidence knowing that I am strong on my own :)

9. Homemade Ice Cream.
The taste of homemade ice cream is something that brings me back to being a kid, when my parents would make it all the time :)  Plain and simple, it is the best thing ever!
10. The Beach.
Need I say more??  The idea of not having a worry in the world, just laying on the beach, soaking up the sun, and hearing the waves of the ocean...there is nothing that sounds more perfect, or more perfect for spring break!
All for now my lovelies.

100 Things: Part One

While I was discovering new blogs this week, I came across Sofia's Journal, where she had done a blog post of 100 Things.  These 100 things were things that made her happy.  She would post 10 things every Saturday for 10 weeks.  I thought this sounded like a brilliant idea, and a great way to keep yourself positive.  School starts back this week, and since Mondays always seem to bring about all kinds of challenging things, I will do 10 every Monday for 10 weeks to help squash all the yuckiness that is Mondays.  And here it goes.

1.  Shopping.
Yes, if there is anything that helps me to release stress, or to bring me out of a bad mood, it's shopping.  It's therapeutic.  There is a happiness that I get when I find something that is new and fun, something that I can wear and express myself with.

2.  Late Birthday Presents.
One of my friends gave me a late birthday present this week (my birthday was in September) and it made my entire day!  Getting a present months after your birthday is fine by me :) And it was a personal gift that she made, which made it all more special!

3.  Making New Friends.
I have always been a social butterfly, and there is still nothing like making a new friend.  You know one of those friends where you meet, and then the next night you are hanging out with them and it's like you have known each other for years??  I love that.  I did a lot of that over my winter break.  You never know what can come from a new friendship, and the people you will meet through them. Always be open to new people :)

4.  Good Hair Days.
Never underestimate the power of a good hair day!  Everything can be going wrong, but if your hair is doing exactly what you want it to do, it can change your entire day.

5.  Nail Polish.
If you love nail polish as much as I do, then you will know that nail polish is an accessory.  Your nail polish can affect the look of your outfit.  For the winter, my go-to-color is Evening Seduction by China Glaze.  And for the Summer, all pinks are acceptable.

Things I Love Thursday

1.  H&M is coming to Dallas!

I have been waiting a long time for H&M to head south.  And after I visited Europe last summer, my addiction to everything H&M has just become worse.  But I could not have received better news this fall, and while I was sitting in class (and not paying attention) I checked my fb updates, and NorthPark had informed me of the great news, and we already have an H&M preview store!  So excited about this.  Now we just need TOPSHOP and Primark to head on down this way :)

2.  Homemade Popcorn.

My grandmother taught me how to pop popcorn on the stove when I was younger, and it is the only popcorn I make.  It is so fluffy and fresh.  Just with a few pinches of salt, or Kernal Season Popcorn Seasonings in White Cheddar, which I am addicted to right now yummm :)

3. Cath Kidtson.

I first discovered Cath Kidtson while I was in London.  I would see girls walking in and out of our hotel everyday with bags from that store.  I was on a mission to find a store.  And while I was shopping in Windsor, I found one!  The cutest little store I have ever set foot in, it was like a little doll house, and I could have bought everything in there.
I have my heart set on a Cath Kidtson messenger bag (seen above) it would be the perfect bag for school :)

4.  Hair Extensions.

I have been wearing clip-in hair extensions for about a year now, and I absolutely love them!  I adore having super long hair without killing it with glue and all that harsh stuff.  There are so many sites that you can order hair extensions now, like FoxyLocks Extensions, and Luxy Hair Extensions.  The girls who own Luxy Hair Extensions have their own YouTube channel and they give great hair styling tips and tricks.  As does FoxyLocks  Check them out!

5.  My New MacBook.

My parents bought me a MacBook for my last birthday, and it has changed my world.  It is so different from a Dell.  And yes there are things that people don't like about Macs, and will forever have a Dell, which is fine.  I have always had Dells, and always had viruses.  My computer had to be wiped clean 3 times! I am soo over that.  The MacBook has great features, and is super fast!  I love it, and I cried when I opened it.

Sperrys?

I have forever said that I would never own a pair of Sperry's shoes.  Why would I want to wear shoes that look like my dads (which he owns a pair).  I never understood what the appeal was of these shoes, and I still really don't know why every girl I know owns at least one pair.  I can't even tell you why I now own a pair myself.  When I showed my dad what I bought at the mall yesterday, the first words that came out of his mouth were, "Sperry Top-Siders? I still have a pair from when I was your age" Now although this made me want to jump in the car and return them immediately, I have kept them overnight, and have grown attached.  I can't tell you why I gave in a bought these shoes, but there is just something about them.  Maybe it's the fact that they go with almost everything in my closet!  Which seems so odd since they are not feminine in any way.  Oh well, this is one trend I got sucked into.  All for now my lovelies!
